Outreach Support
& Advocacy

 

Statewide outreach support and advocacy for women, trans and gender diverse people 18+ (with/without children), who have been criminalised and have been in contact with the criminal legal and/or prison system in Victoria. 

We provide individualised support for women, trans and gender diverse people 18+ (with/without children) to address homelessness, drug and alcohol treatment and a range of other support and advocacy aimed at addressing the underlying causes of criminalisation.

We focus on assisting folks to tackle goals both big and small. 

 

Support we can provide:

  • Goal orientated support with no timeframes.

  • Step down approach

  • Regular check in meetings to address goals

  • Liaising with external services (housing, AoD, mental health, legal, employment, etc)

  • Advocacy with services

  • Referrals to services

  • Assist with getting care teams for people who have co-existing needs

  • Provide phone support

  • Attending court and providing court support letters and reports

  • Applications to external services for brokerage

We do not
provide:

  • Housing

  • Intensive outreach support

  • Afterhours support

We currently have a wait list for full support and are unable to give a timeframe for when we will be able to allocate a worker.
